Lexi Roth (she/they/he) is a lighting designer and visual storyteller originally from Los Angeles, California.

At the age of 5, they fell in love with theatre as an actor and learned firsthand how much personal growth can come out of telling stories that matter. Initially attending high school at the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts (LACHSA) to study acting, their focus shifted from being on the stage, to creating worlds that actors and audience members could become fully immersed in. That passion drove them to study lighting design on their own during the pandemic, using camera flashlights and water with food coloring as their lights and gels.

Lexi has spent the last four years earning their BFA in Lighting Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. They used this time to advance their understanding of lighting design, while also taking on new visual arts pursuits.

As their career moves forward, Lexi is most passionate about new theatre works that are pushing the art form forward in terms of representation and diversifying the types of stories that we see told in theatrical spaces.
